Being academically competitive institute J D Polytechnic, keeps the students on their toes. Amongst this curricular and co-curricular environment, Student Club helps students to evolve their talents. Through this club we provide a common platform to the students in order to enhance their personality traits. This constitutes of different clubs; Event Club, Literary Club, Creative Club, Dance Club, Drama Club, Music Club, Publicity Club etc.. Each of these clubs strives hard to develop their interpersonal skills, management skills, and disciplinary skills.

Student Club & Forum

Any Body Can Dance With Terence Lewis

Any Body Can Dance event was organized by Reality Show Dancer and International Choreographer Mr. Terence Lewis in J D College of Engineering & Management and J D Polytechnic, Nagpur on February 15, 2019. The workshop was for 2 hours where he taught three types of dancing style to all the Nagpurians i.e. Contemporary, Hip Hop and Bollywood.

Dance Club members of J D Polytechnic played a vital role in this event as they bought maximum entries overall from Nagpur as well as they too participated in this event. 797 students from both the institutes enthusiastically participated in this mega dance workshop. There were about 348 participants from the city who participated in this dancing event and showcased their interest and passion.

The students of J D Polytechnic were blessed for such an amazing time and moment with Mr. Terence Lewis where they learnt as well as enjoyed a lot.

We were also blessed with the presence of our Honorable Chairman Shri. Sanjayji Agrawal, all the Directors, Principal and Vice Principal of both institutes, Deans, HOD’s & all teaching & non teaching staffs. Their invaluable presence made this event more graceful and memorable.

Dahi Handi festival is one of the festive events and a team sport during the Hindu festival Gokulashtami, which is also known as Krishna Janmashtami and celebrates the birth of Krishna. Dahi Handi is celebrated every August/September, the day after Krishna Janmashtami

With an aim to spread joy and happiness, a grand event of Dahi Handi was organized by the department of Computer Engineering of J D Polytechnic.

The campus looks like a mini Mathura, where all the Students and Teachers, dressed up in traditional attire, enjoying the team spirit among the students. The celebration starts with the traditional light lamping ad worship of Krishna.

The event is organized to provide social, cultural and recreational activities for the Students.

Objective: To make students aware about importance of Kite festival and Lohri Celebration.

EXCES Committee under Electronics and Telecoomunication Department, JD Polytechnic, Katol Road, Nagpur have organizes “Ohh-Kaati” Festival every year. In this event around 50teams participates for kite flying and more than 600 students gathered at JD cricket ground to celebrate these festivals. Program starts with the inauguration and Gidda by the girls and boys of the department. Kite flying followed by Indian game “Lagori” for lady teachers and girls. There were various competitions like ‘Tug Of War’ and ‘Ohh Kaat’ for both boys and girls.

Outcome: Extracurricular activities are always helps students all-round development by celebrating OHH KAAT we try to conserve our culture.
